What is a Reformed Church?
A Reformed church is a Christian church that seeks to faithfully follow the teachings of the Bible. Reformed churches emphasize that salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. They believe the Bible is God's inspired and authoritative Word and is the final authority for faith and life.
A Reformed church is also committed to preaching the gospel, worshiping God according to Scripture, administering baptism and the Lord's Supper, and helping believers grow as disciples of Christ.
For a complete summary of what a Reformed Church is, see the Westminster Confession of faith linked here.

As a Reformed church, we believe that children are a vital part of God's covenant family and belong in the worship service. Your kids are 100% welcome to join the entire congregation during worship.
If you're worried about your children making noise or not sitting perfectly still, we'd like to encourage you not to worry. Many of the families in our church have young children, and we understand the joys and challenges that come with worshiping as a family. You're in good company, and we are delighted to have your children with us.
For parents who need it, a nursery is available during the worship service for infants and young children. Whether your children remain in the sanctuary or spend time in the nursery, we want your family to feel welcomed, loved, and encouraged as you worship with us.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday as an important part of our worship service.
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and are trusting in Him alone for your salvation, and a a member in goods standing of a Bible believing church, we warmly invite you to join us in taking communion. We welcome all baptized Christians who are members in good standing of a Bible-believing church to participate with us.
During the service, the pastor will lead us in prayer before the elements are distributed. The bread is passed to the congregation first, and we wait so that we may partake of it together as one body. The cup is then distributed, and we again partake together as a congregation.
If you are not yet a Christian or have questions about the meaning of communion, we invite you to simply let the elements pass. We would love the opportunity to talk with you afterward about the good news of the gospel and what it means to follow Christ.

At Covenant, we believe that worship is much more than music—it is our entire response to God throughout the worship service. Through the reading and preaching of God's Word, prayer, singing, giving, the sacraments, and fellowship, we gather each Lord's Day to glorify Him together.
As a Reformed church in the Monterey Bay area, our congregation sings from the Trinity Hymnal, accompanied by a piano. Rather than having a worship team or performance, we believe the whole congregation is called to lift their voices together in praise to God. Our worship is simple, reverent, Christ-centered, and rooted in Scripture.
If you're looking for a Bible-believing church in Monterey Bay with historic Christian worship, faithful preaching, and congregational singing, we would love to welcome you to worship with us.
